5 awesome activities to get you healthy this summer

1. BREAK OUT YOUR BIKE

Take advantage of the beautiful summer weather and bring your bike out of storage. Biking is a great workout activity that can either be fast-paced or slow and allows you to take in the sights of your neighbourhood. Biking is also great to do with family or friends!

2. GET IN THE WATER

Water activities are a fun way to stay healthy. You burn loads of calories while enjoying those lovely summer days. Swimming, water polo or volleyball are just a few options. Or if you want to try something different, try water skiing or stand-up paddle boarding!

3. OUTDOOR HOT YOGA

We’re use to doing hot yoga in the studio during winter, when we feel cold and stiff. If you want a change in scenery or just don’t want to be inside, try doing yoga outdoors and create your own “hot-yoga studio.” Since your body is use to the summer heat, it will be more adaptable to those super hot days. Yoga also detoxifies the body so keep practicing!

4. HIT THE LINKS

Golfing is a great sport to take up in the summer. It burns quite a lot of calories, especially if you skip the cart and walk from each hole to the next. Just nine holes on a par 3 course allows you to walk for an hour, not to mention the upper body work you get from each swing!

5. PUT ON THOSE RUNNERS AND WALK

Walking doesn’t require special equipment or athletic skills, but offers many health benefits. Walking is a gentle, low impact exercise that is free and available to everyone. Walking burns calories, gives you energy and makes you happy so put on your running shoes, and just walk!

💫 Classes & Certifications
Aasia teaches PilatesSculpt here at Healthletica! She is a Registered Health and Exercise Practitioner (RHEP), RYT 200 Certified Yoga Instructor, and Certified Mat Pilates Instructor. 

🧘🏼 Her Journey 
Aasia never imagined herself as an instructor until her internship at Healthletica changed everything. Inspired by the powerful, compassionate instructors around her, she realized how much she loved helping others feel confident in their bodies. Combining her personal Pilates practice with her yoga background, Aasia began introducing Pilates to the studio community. Seeing firsthand how these two practices complement each other drove her passion to create a safe, empowering space where people can move, grow, and reconnect with themselves.
