At Healthletica, we’re dedicated to providing our clients with the best possible hot yoga experience. That’s why we use infrared radiant heating in our hot studio, creating a more comfortable and natural heat that has many benefits for your health and well-being.

Our radiant heating panels emit infrared rays, which are similar to the sun’s rays. These rays penetrate your body and the floor, rather than heating the air around you. This means that our heat isn’t extreme–and we don’t let room temperatures exceed normal body temperatures. We keep the studio at a steady 35º Celsius, the optimal temperature for reaping all the benefits of hot yoga.

So, what are these benefits? Here are just a few:

Benefits of Infrared Hot Yoga

  • Increased flexibility: Infrared heat can help you loosen up your muscles and joints, allowing you to move more freely and easily. It can also increase the production of collagen.
  • Pain relief: Infrared heat can reduce inflammation, swelling, and soreness in your body by increasing blood flow and oxygen delivery to the affected areas. It can also stimulate the release of endorphins, which are natural painkillers that make you feel good.
  • Detoxifying sweat: Infrared heat can help you sweat more than regular heat, which can help you flush out toxins, impurities, and excess water from your body. Sweating can also improve your skin health, and boost your immune system by fighting off infections.
  • Weight loss: Infrared heat can help you burn more calories by increasing your metabolic rate and heart rate. It can also stimulate the breakdown of fat cells and the release of fatty acids into the bloodstream, which can be used as fuel by your muscles.
  • Increased circulation: Infrared heat can improve your blood circulation by dilating your blood vessels and lowering your blood pressure. This can enhance the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to your organs, tissues, and cells, as well as the removal of waste products and carbon dioxide. Improved circulation can also benefit your brain function, mood, energy levels, and overall health.

We hope you enjoy the heat at Healthletica and reap all the benefits that come with it. Come join us for a class today! 😊

👉🏼INGREDIENTS
1 cup dates, pitted and soaked
1 cup raw almonds or walnuts
1/3 cup cocoa powder
4 tbsp. coconut flakes, unsweetened
5-8 drops peppermint essential oil (food-grade), or 1/2-1 tsp peppermint extract (start with less and add more if needed)
1/8 tsp. sea salt
2 tbsp coconut flakes, for coating

👉🏼INSTRUCTIONS
Soak dates in water for 30-minutes and drain.
Add nuts and coconut flakes into food processor and process into a fine crumble.
Add dates, cocoa powder, peppermint oil/extract and sea salt into the food processor and continue to process until ingredients start to stick together. If mixture is too dry, add a teaspoon of water at a time until mixture becomes sticky when you press it together.
Scoop mixture with a small spoon and roll into balls.
Spread remaining coconut flakes on a plate and roll balls into the flakes to coat.
Store in an air-tight container in the fridge.
